Why would I critique these?!? They're representations of your feelings. Can you explain them?

the first one, the one with all the colors, i woke up at 4 am, and i guess i was feeling a bit hypomanic, i had a strong rush of emotions all emotions, like a hose of water on full force, so i just drew and drew, and then just scattered the pencils on the table, and picked whatever color i was feeling.

the second heart pic, is full of anger hurt guilt and shame

the third pic, that everybody says looks like a bird, well, i really dont know what it is, but it represents, anger, red represents anger to me, the claws are danger that people dont show until its too late, i guess its referring to my past.

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing, Sweepy. They are amazing - so vibrant and full of energy. I really appreciate you sharing these very personal drawings. I am amazed - I did what you suggested late last night when I couldn't sleep and did my first drawing just in pencil - but the amazing thing is that it resembles your first picture in the shapes and lines! I haven't got any coloured pens so haven't been able to add any colour to it yet. But I actually surprisingly found the experience very healing/cathartic. I would like to do more I think. Thank you again for sharing - they are amazing. And so are you.

These are quality drawings. Paint the first one on canvas and you could sell it! Paul Klee must beware!

PS: Some professional artists paint primarily to dump their demons.

Oil paintings are done on canvas, not paper. There's probably a good reason.

Oh ok, I have oils, acrylics pastels, I should try my hand at those, but oil takes so long to dry I think, I guess I would have to buy special paper for that.

Wow those are wonderful. I've done some paintings of my feelings, but would be way too embarrassed to share them. You truly are so brave.

P.S. I oil pasteled my closet when I was in high school, my dad lost it.
Thanks for this!

I read recently in a book that waking at this hour consistently is a response to grief. Are you grieving the loss of something or someone?

OOOOOh, Sweepy! I like your drawings too! I absolutely LOVE the first one! So colorful, and I love the way it is designed! The blue part in the upper left side of the painting reminds me of a horse head with a modern hair-do! I wondered if all of the eyes represent watchfulness. If you have suffered at the hands of others in your life, you may struggle with distrust and feelings of having to be ultra-aware of everything that goes on around you, so as not to be taken off guard and hurt again. In your second painting, it almost looks like you have wings on the side, which might indicate the desire to be free of the hurt you suffer.
Thanks for this!

you are absolutely correct on both, I am very distrustful and hypervigilent, with the eyes on the drawing, And yes I am seeking some sort of freedom with the wings, I have been hurt in my past, and present, I have more drawings i will post, some i will not, because they were when i was in dark places, but i am better now. I am working on another one right now, so I will keep posting. and thank you.

Do you have a flatbed scanner? Can you scan in number 1 and post it? I'd like to print it out and hang it on my wall.

PS: Another option is to put the picture on the floor and take a photo from directly overhead.
