Just for fun, when I'm reading replies, in anyone's thread, I guess who posted and am often right! We each have our own writing style. No point to this thread except maybe feeling that many of us "know" each other for a long time so we know how we write and what we believe. It's nice.
Thanks for this!

I would imagine, unless expressing views on therapists not being super dooper, my responses blend in.

I have noticed that also. A couple of times, I have been skimming and read a reply, and thought, NO WAY did rainbow (or whoever) say that, and went back and re-read the name of the person posting and realized I has misread it. After a while, you do learn to expect certain things from certain people.
Thanks for this!

I am intrigued! Do you recognise me?.......
If so, I would love to know how I come across (? Pathetic/useless and nothing to add is how I feel) I wonder if this is how I come across.
It is weird that I feel I know you and other posters - it is nice. Thank you Rainbow

It's not that. It's just your style, the things you say and the way you say them.

Not at all useless. Your replies are compassionate and thoughtful. I recognize your feelings of hopelessness though, and always wish I could do something to help.

I'm talking more about writing style in posts. It's so interesting to be able to know who it is. This works only if someone reads often and for those who post often

I'm rotfl at the idea of Stopdog blending in (nothing but love, S).
Some people's styles are very easy to pick out, but I've not been here long enough to really put names-to-styles. The internet's version of names-to-faces, don't you love it;-)

There are a handful of people I really recognize, mostly because they have big personalities or they erk me.

I see a lot of my own issues in yours Alone. Remember, just because you feel pathetic and useless doesn't mean you are. I don't think you're either of those things.

I don't often post in this forum specifically but all across the board there are a few people I can recognize their posts immediately. It has a lot to do with those we are close with, but also those of us that are very open and from that I can gauge who is talking by their point of view sometimes!
I think I usually blend in though because I don't know how to give good advice too often so I kind of lurk in the background.

Yes, I think I can with a handful of people but it's more that I've learned some people's online personality and can kind of predict what their opinions might be on certain subjects.

You're joking, right? You have the most distinctive style on the internet.

(But who would have thought that Stopdog would ever write "dooper"?)

When I'm reading on my cell phone, I can either look at the text or the poster (space/type size issue). I can often tell who is writing by what's being said or how it is being said. Then double check by looking at the poster's name.

I do recognize your posts ... It's more about the style of thinking and expressing, beyond just your opinion of therapists.

But don't worry, I highly doubt I know you outside of this forum, nor do I think I'd recognize you if I did know you. I just recognize your forum posts.

There are a few people I recognize. More people that I recognize based on personal stories. But it's a bit hard to tell since most people have pictures that I recognize before even starting to read the post.

I am not worried at all about that. I think we even live in different countries. I am sort of the same cranky person off forums too.

I recognize some posters - but I more think that there are types of posters rather than any individual being all that recognizable - so I am more able to narrow down a post to being one from X, Y, or Z instead of A, B, or C rather than any specific other poster usually.

Yes, quite a few. Several people here have distinctive writing styles, and I know a bit about the history of rather a lot of people by this time.

I do recognize lots of people ! Stopdog, your strength and refusal to take crap from the world is admirable.

Hopefully, I am not one of those that irk others--it's possible though!
