It hit me again today as I was googling her and found out some new information. I think I can now guess roughly where she lives.

This reminds me that she is her own person and that she will not want to be in any sort of non-professional relationship with me. I already knew this was the case, but it's another reminder.

I know how you feel. Yes, it hurts, over and over. Try to remember what a T once told me. Our relationship is not friendship. It's different, but that doesn't make it LESS.

There will be other real people who are just as good/nice/useful to you as a therapist. The therapist is playing a role.

I'm feeling the same as you right now, and am struggling with this concept too. I also came to this conclusion when I found out where she lived. I think it really hit home how she has a life outside of our sessions and I'm not a part of that and never will be. Lots of hugs to you.
