So im sitting with my T and I keep looking at the clock, it seems like the more we talk about the faster the time goes. I hate knowing I only 15 mins, then 10, then 5! I wish therapy last for like 3 hours. Not too long to get drained but long enough to say everything you need to say in a day.

Yeah for me an hour is definitely not long enough. I spend the first 20 minutes working up to what I want to talk about, let alone actually talking about it! Then the last few minutes is getting back to the right frame of mind so I can actually leave without feeling totally distraught.

I have had a wide range of session times during the past year, ranging from 30 minutes to five hours. I find, on average, 90-120 minutes is ideal.

Most of my session last any where from an hour and a half to two hours. With how my mind works, I'll talk about 20 different things but never completely talk about 1 subject. My mind is just always all over the place.

I only get 45 min It takes me about 20 to get settled, it's awful. I'd be happy with 1.5 hours once a week.

I consider appointments generally to be 50 minutes of unpleasantness at best and usually torture - so I am glad for the end.

It totally depends on the day. My appointment yesterday felt like it lasted forever, but there are times the appointments feel like they are 5 minutes long.

I had 90minute appointments for 4 years and that was perfect! Well, maybe 2 hours would be even better! 60 minutes seems too short.

If I could choose/afford it I'd like to have 1.5-hours sessions because I take a while to talk and then I have too much to say, or 2 sessions a week. When I'm in a bad place we happen to run out by 10-15 minutes, though.

Most of the time I think that the 45 minutes a week once a week is sufficient enough for me.

How Long Do You WIsh Therapy Lasted? Hours and hours and hours....No, just kidding. I would say about 2 hours as needed. But it really depends on the person and the level of dialogue that occurs in session.

Therapy as it is now? I'm fine with 1 hour sessions.

Ideally, I wish I could just go for a day, stay as long as it took and be "fixed" when it was done. Wouldn't that be nice?!

I have been in a therapy appt for 2 hours...by then my back hurts, I need to use the bathroom, and I really don't want to talk or hear talking from anyone for the rest of the day. I find that it pretty much wears me out.

I do appreciate the time, and I do open up better than in an hour for sure...it's just exhausting.

Mine are 50 minutes. I long for even one 90 minute session but have never asked. I couldn't afford it even if she said yes since I pay out of pocket! I'm not complaining. I'm happy to pay out of pocket because we have such a great connection I don't want to change T's.

We see t for anywhere from three hours to ten hours at a time (spend the day together) it still doesnt feel like enough because there are about 25 of us, and there are about 15 of us who need time with t. Everyone has to share her, and she takes turns talking to everyone. So even a day where we might hang out from 9 am to 10 pm, it goes by too fast, and doesnt feel like a long enough time!

That said, i know i have younger alters who want to be with her twelve hours a day every day (they tell her that often!) the nice thing is t totally gets it and knows howf ast the talking time goes by for us.

We'll, my appointments aren't for therapy, but I wish I could see my gp once a month instead of quarterly. I wish I could book a double appointment, like two-time slots back to back, because that'd give me more like 30 mins vs. 15. And it would be 'perfect' to have the last times of the day, because I wouldn't feel like gp was in as much of a rush. But....they aren't therapy sessions...and If I was taking up time that a sick pt needed that would make me feel guilty.

My therapy use to last 2-4 hours, 3-5 times a week. As I winded down I went twice a week for 90 minutes - 2 hours. Completed therapy in 18 months. I miss being in individual therapy, sometimes. I figure out 95 percent of my issues with the tools I got from therapy.
