I think it's happening again. Jealousy, thinking about her all the time, depression.

With her? That would be awkward.

Do you think I could discuss it without it being awkward?

Things in therapy are awkward sometimes, but your T should be qualified to deal with such things. I doubt you are going to be able to process your feelings and move on without talking about them in therapy.

Yes, it's awkward to discuss but I think you should try anyway. Your T probably has an idea of how you feel about her; don't you think? I talked about obsessing a lot, as it was/is one of my issues. Obsessing about therapy and her. Do you know why you do it?

Like the rest have said, it's the best way to get over your feelings.

I think I do it to distract myself from other issues that I don't want to think about.

That's really common. And if you feel brave enough, maybe you could say all that and tell her what you're trying to distract from?

It's OK I have become somewhat obsessed with Therapists in the past (particularly the first Therapist I saw as an adult and I think that in some ways I am still obsessed with her).

I use thoughts about T sometimes to help calm myself.

Hi IT, I've been seeing my T for 4 years. I think of her all the time. I would never have the nerve to tell her. Wish I could. Sorry no suggestions for you. Good luck. Wish I could give u some advise.

I had a crush on the psychiatrist I went to a few times. I wouldn't call it an obsession. No way would I tell him I was attracted to him. It wouldn't have served any purpose to do so.
