I've been crying since last night when I had a sad thought (well except for the 5 hours I was just asleep). I have a session, seems like rather good timing now, and a million things to talk about. Please think a thought of Petra5ed being able to emote in therapy in some authentic way if you would.

What will todays outcome be?

have you tried visualizing the session? idk. in dbt we call it coping ahead. like sit quietly and close your eyes. imagine the session. imagine yourself speaking in the session and imagine yourself actually doing what you want to do in terms of sharing and emotionally connecting. i do that sometimes. i still struggle to make the emotional connections sometimes, but i do find that i can at least avoid the shut down and at least articulate what i'm experiencing in being emotionally distant while adeptly speaking to the problem.

also. notecards. i'm thinking of taking a notecard to my next session
Thanks for this!

Maybe if you see that many people will choose the first option you will believe that it is really possible? I really hope so

I like NowhereUSA idea, usually I visualize things which may happen and in my case it works pretty well i.e. if I am able to imagine that I will speak, then I will speak, if I even cannot imagine it, usually I won't speak...

Good luck
