My anxiety is out if control right now and I am fighting hard the urge to SI. I am supposed to hear from a new therapist today about whether or not she will see me before she goes on maternity leave. I can't get myself motivated to do anything at work right now.

do you have some ice? holding ice will start to hurt and can trigger the same relief that other SI does.

also a long walk can help or changing your body temp.

i hope things go well with the new t.

I just don't have the energy to look for a new T. I am thinking about giving up on therapy. No T wants to deal with me anyways I am so stubborn and a pain in the ***.

then there is a t out there who will work with you. ts work with all sorts of people.

it's not easy. i know. i empathize. i'm terrified of getting close to people, but my t has been good to me even with my freaking out and my stubbornness and that has made all the difference.

I feel like lately my emotions have been so out of proportion with the event surrounding me. Everything just feels overwhelming.

i'm sorry you feel what you feel. a t can help you navigate that. i know it feels like you'd be too much but after reading on this board i think that's a really common thing. i realize that ts become ts (the good ones do at least) to help people who need helping. and we're people who need helping.
