I don't go to therapy to get help. I go to therapy to get the attention I can't get anywhere else.

It is as much about feeling heard I suppose? You obviously feel you need the attention so don't be so hard on yourself maybe x

We all need to be heard and cared about (i.e. get "attention" from someone). If you don't have someone in your life who can consistently do that, I think a T is very appropriate. Hopefully, you're getting even MORE than that though... hopefully you're learning how you can be in a relationship like that, so you can (eventually, maybe?) find more good relationships outside of T.

I think? I'm still trying to figure it out too!

But 100% agree - don't be hard on yourself. I think therapy is a good thing... it helps you sort out all your stuff... which is good!
Thanks for this!

That's part of the problem. I am not interested in relationships outside of therapy. My homework for the holiday weekend was to do one thing that was fun. Did I do that? Heck, I never even got dressed. I just want to go and talk and leave. But thanks for the encouragement. I hate it when other folks get on here and whine. Don't want to do that.
