My t called today about my schedule, being that I left a message wanting to know an estimated time of when I will be back to weekly sessions, I told her I was not doing well, as far as being stressed out goes. I told her I would discuss it next session, and not to call back.

Well she called back, ughhhhhhh. she told me, she understands, but that the new therapist started on monday, and is getting her new caseload started, and getting trained on computer systems, and that until then I would have to continue being seen every 2 weeks for another month to month and a half, she was apologetic, and she said her goal was to see me weekly as soon as possible.

I said thank you for calling back. She said take care of yourself, and see you on wednesday.

How I feel: aggravated, its not her fault, but I have so much bottled up, that the progress i made with her in 5 months, I feel this change has set me back some, and it will take, seeing me weekly again to gain trust and consistency again.

That sucks. Can you not see another therapist in the meantime?

Sweepy this sucks. Wish it were easier for you right now.

I am glad she called back though despite you saying not to. I take that to mean she really hears how hard things are, wishes she could do something about it and wants you to know she cares enough to still check in. I may be wrong...... what do you think?

Sweepy, I think it's okay to feel frustrated, to feel like this is a setback. Because in a lot of ways, it is. Be patient with yourself and treat yourself well.

No, no one available , I see her next wed then again sept 10th . There's alot on my plate , I'm feeling overwhelmed , I'm averaging 3 hrs sleep a night. How the hell am I suppose to summarize a month of crap into one session , then wait 2 weeks to talk again.

I'm just going to just sit there and tell her I don't know how I feel.

Don't be stubborn. It won't help you. You will only get in the way of your own progress if you have that attitude. She is doing the best she can. The situation just sucks.

I'm so sorry you are going through this! I would feel angry, frustrated and completely fed-up.

Are you able to email your T? Maybe you can email her a summary so that you can launch right in when you see her this week.
Thanks for this!

It's okay to yell and to be angry. Just don't shut down and pretend like things are fine.

Ughhhh!!!!!!' I just want to throw the biggest tantrum in her office. I want to yell and scream and throw all her books on the floor.

Stomp on her clock. Unplug her computer. Throw her decorative owls on the floor. Ect....,

Well...it's probably better if you tell her you want to do those things rather than actually doing them but your feelings aren't wrong or bad.

Thanks hazelgirl , just imagining it kinda made me feel good. I painted something tonight, I'm guessing it reflects how I feel.
