About the medication that I'm supposed to be taking during pregnancy to prevent another blood clot. He said he was having a hard time understanding what motivation was behind me not taking it. However, we talked about it for probably a good 20 minutes and came to an agreement that underneath everything is passive suicidal ideation. He said that he really cares about me, and doesn't want to see anything happen to me which was really nice to hear him say. Right now it's not a big issue, but it will be once I get closer to delivery. So he said we'll keep coming back to it and talking about it.

I am glad you talked to him. But you really do need to be taking it.

I've had a similar conversation...although medication is not for that but other potentially life threatening illness... Not an easy conversation.

Thank you.

It was definitely not an easy conversation to have, even though we've talked about it a few months ago. I'm not worried about not taking it right now, but I'm sure he'll bring up the topic again, esp as I get closer to delivery.

BUMPING THIS TO UPDATE:

I saw my T yesterday, and again he brought up the medication and that I'm going against medical advice on this. He said he talked to my obgyn. I'm not sure if he called her or vice versa, he didn't say and I didn't ask. I gave them permission to talk whenever needed so I'm not surprised.

According to my T, my OBGYN thinks I need to see a pdoc again, but my T didn't push it. I don't have another appt with my obgyn until next month, so I don't know if she'll push for it. Thankfully she hasn't had her NP or RN call me to ask me about the medication again.

I ended up breaking down and crying in session, and I haven't done that in a while. I just want them to leave me alone about this.
