Maybe make a little mental list of topics you can discuss, nothing too heavy or upsetting, and start with that.

Try to prepare yourself. Can make a mental list as Red suggested, or even a written list. List questions that you have for T, things you want to work on, generalized list of your past, etc. Do some deep breathing.

Another option is NOT to prepare. Just go in with an open mind and see what happens.

You'll probably give a bit of history about yourself and what has lead you to this point. That usually takes up at least the first visit. Don't stress to too much. A good therapist will do most of the thinking for you
