I am so full of ...anxiety, I guess, my veins in my neck are throbbing, I am fearful and want to hide in a corner in my closet. Why? Because someone called me and wants me to call them back. I am becoming more dysfunctional by the day! I have no job and no insurance. Does anyone know of any treatment options for someone in sw Florida with no job and no insurance? I am on disability for depression but this is beyond depression. I feel like I am shutting down in fear...regret...suspicion...doubt...any suggestions appreciated!
Hugs from:

Sorry I don't live in the US and don't know what options there might be. You sound like you are having a really tough time.

It looks like these people may be able to help:

The Mental Health Association of Southwest Florida
Contact Us

If not, they may know who could help.

Contact 211. While options in FL suck (I'm in Southeast FL), 211 can point you to local clinics. Depending on how close you are to a local university, you can try their clinics. They often offer sliding scale fees to see students doing internships and practicum hours (that's how I see a t). You can also try a larger hospital network. Here, memorial regional and Broward health offer sliding scale clinics. 211 should have most of that info though, so you can either go on their site or call them (though I know you said calling gives you anxiety). Their website is a bit cumbersome, but had search options. You can also try a web search for "community mental health clinics with a sliding scale near ________" (<--wherever you live). You can also narrow it down, for example I found the clinic I go to by looking for lgbt-friendly counseling.
If you have been on disability for longer than 2 years, you should be getting medicare (or elligible for it), and you could look up clinics that accept it. FL kinda screws people on the mh end of things...
