So I was suppose to have an appointment last Thursday, but she never told me about it. I had a session last Monday and she scheduled me for this week on Thursday (the 18th). On Friday, her receptionist called and said I missed my session (the 11th). I told her that my T never told me about it and she apologized and completely understood. She also said that my T was just worried (I was and still kind of am suicidal) and wanted to make sure everything was okay since I missed the appointment. I don't know what to say about this. On Thursday I thought about calling to make sure, since it was my usual weekly time, but since she didn't write it on my appointment card (she usually writes 3-4 appointments ahead for me), I decided not to. I feel bad, even though there was no way I could have known about it. Still, I don't know if I should apologize or what? I have never missed an appointment, or has she not told me about an appointment before. I know it was just a small mistake but it has been bothering me the last few days... Have anyone had a similar situation?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Apparently it was just one of those scheduling mishaps and your T was just concerned that you were okay.
Thanks for this!

Yea, I know, but my mind just doesn't let it rest. I guess I'll just have to wait until our session to see how she'll react.

Well this is kind of the opposite but I once got confused and showed up for an apt I didn't make. For some reason I thought I had... My therapist was on the phone which was irritating. It started late, he told me he had no recollection of the apt. Afterwards I checked and realized I never made it. Oops!

If it would help you can apologize. Be what's best for you.

I think I would feel the same as you and would probably apologise, but on the UK we apologise over everything including if someone steps on your toes.

I probably will apologize as I do for everything anyway. Brown Owl, since my mother is from Europe, my family is the same way and it's funny to see people's reactions here in the US. Petra, did you tell your T later on? How did he react?
