T had her tumor removed and is home recovering.

Saw P-doc for 45 minutes today. She's "filling in" for T.

I like her and everything but it's just not the same. P-doc filling in for T

{{{{ Everyone who responded }}}}

I am struggling big time with all of this. I have a bad case of the what-if's.

When I first saw T I could barely talk I was so consumed with grief over the death of my two brothers.

I also knew at some point I would have to grieve the death of my father because I had stuffed it for twenty-something years, and that "little girl" was afraid to feel that monumental loss.

I feel the same way right now. Stuffing-worrying-stuffing-crying-stuff-stuff-stuffing all the pain.

I have out of town guests coming this month, a birthday that I don't want to celebrate with them, I have to give a presentation/training class to a large group of people and I am losing my nerve. T is sick. My mother is sick. Argh.

I wish I could girls. They booked their trip a long time ago. Plus, hubby hasn't seen them (his family) for a while. He keeps telling me not to worry, he'll take care of everything, but still.

Work is an issue because my boss has been so good to me giving me time off and I got out of the last two seminars that I can't do it to her. P-doc filling in for T

I'm sorry Petunia. Can you carve out a few things in your schedule? It never hurts to say no once in awhile...

(((hugs))) Such stressors!!!!!

Ok... ask your hubby to book them into a motel/hotel for the visit (that's really taking care of things there P-doc filling in for T )

Tell or discuss what gift for the birthday... and let hubby get it. (Is it for you? That would be kewl!) You don't have to have the party at your home either btw... just tell hubby it would stress you out too much, so he can "take care of it" that way.

Don't drop the presentations. Remember, everyone (even me) gets a bit anxious before any public speaking...we all want to do our best. Well...you will do your best for the situation. How prepared are you for this? Do you have someone who can handle the handouts etc for you? One of the things that can be really stressful are questions from the group. I used to put a "burning question" box or bag out in the room and tell them in the beginning to hold all questions, write any they think of on a card and put it in the box during break... and they'll be answered by the end of the presentation/time whatever... or emailed even !
