I have no idea what to talk about in tx today in a half hour. Does the t normally take care of this asking questions or such? Otherwise it's going to be another one of those 'sit around and shoot the breeze' type of sessions. I guess there's nothing wrong with those. I've only seen this lady a handful of times, am not paying (I'm on a grant) and don't really trust her anyways. Just wondering how it goes for others. Thank you.

If I don't know what to say I'll usually just tell her I'm stuck. Sometimes I'll have an area I want to focus on and sometimes I don't. If I do i'll say " I really want to talk about x but i'm stuck knowing what to say"
Otherwise I'll say " I don't know what to say, do you have any ideas?" |

It has been a while since I was in therapy. I used to keep a dream notebook and highlight things I wanted to talk about in therapy. Usually these were highly emotionally charged scenes that left me uneasy. They usually were the tip of the iceberg.
In chat groups they have a focus for the week. What about.asking your therapist 1) How am I doing in therapy? 2) What goals have I reached and what ones do I still need to reach? 3) Can we have a focus of the week for the next session so I can focus on that and come in ready to talk? If the therapist cannot give you any good answers to these questions, that might be a sign to ask yourself the same questions and see what you are getting out of therapy with this particular therapist. when you said Quote:
