We are expecting 10" of snow tomorrow which is very unusual. I have never asked my T what would happen with inclement weather and she's never cancelled on me.
I sent her a text that I'm off tomorrow and can meet anytime today or tomorrow if she needs to move around her schedule. I really don't want to miss and feel I'm missing her more due to the worry.
So I know some of you may not believe in prayer, but I could use some that something gets worked out and I can see her and not have to wait another week. I'm ready for the spring!!!!

I hope it takes place. The one I see has cancelled for weather a couple of times. We often get ice here.

my T switches to a phone appointment if the weather is bad. I hate the phone so much but I think it helps me open up not to see her. Is that a possibility for you?

I'm not sure if she would do a phone session. Really haven't dealt with this before. She works another job so I know it would be a pain for her to reschedule. I'm hoping she's able to get to work and see whoever can get there.
I really don't want to do a phone session. The eye connection means too much.

Unless the city/town/village is declared a state of emergency and shut-down, there shouldn't be any cancellations.

It's not looking good: schools closed, dentist offices closing, notices to only travel if you have to. As the day goes on, it's supposed to get worse like 2 inches hourly. My appt is late afternoon. She didn't respond to my text offering to come anytime tomorrow since I'm off. I take that as a good sign that she's going to try to keep the sessions. The possibility of cancellation sucks.

I wouldn't rule out a phone check in. If it's a choice between that or nothing then I'd rather the phone.

I know how you feel! We had a big snowstorm a few weeks ago and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to dig my car out but I did. The roads were okay except the side streets weren't plowed.

You said it's unusual where you live to get so much snow.
Will they plow your roads? It doesn't sound like you're worried about getting to your session.
That's good. Does your T have a long drive to the office?
Maybe call if you don't hear from her tomorrow though I would think if she had to cancel she would let you know. I hope you have your session if it's safe to drive.

It's not usual to have this much snow at once. They do plough and salt but it may be too much. I left my car out so I dont have to get up my driveway and would walk if I had to. Lol. It's only 2 miles from my house.
She's much further out but comes in on a main road. I think the day will start off fine but may get too bad for her to stay open.
Praying!

*sending good thoughts to the universe for you* Good luck, I hope your T is able to keep your session! I hope you don't get snowed in! Therapy is hard enough without having to worry about weather problems getting in the way!

So true! Police are asking people to stay off the roads. I haven't heard from her yet but hope to soon since her first session around lunchtime. I guess if my only choice is a phone session, I'll take it but it just won't be the same not having eye contact. I'm hoping she'll meet whomever is willing to come. Wishful thinking...

I'm still waiting to hear from her. Roads are horrible and just watched someone get towed from in front of my house. I have a joint session with my H Thursday. I guess I'll ask to come without him then.
The bad thing is it's not supposed to get sunny or above freezing all week. We just aren't equipped for this weather.

Where I live a small amount of snow would shut down the entire city, so take this with a grain of salt, but neither you nor your T should be driving in those conditions! Hopefully she'll reschedule you this week, or work out a phone session. I'm so sorry the weather is interfering with your session! Must be so frustrating.

Well I just got a standard text that says she's closed today and to call the office if you need to reschedule before your next scheduled appointment. So I guess she doesn't do phone sessions. She probably believes in person is better. Disappointed but not surprised.

I'm sorry, Soccer mom. Thursday isn't that far away. Will your H mind if you go without him? I guess T is taking a snow day. Better than risking driving and getting stuck in that kind of weather. I'd be disappointed too, though.

im in the same situation. my T said we can talk on the phone though. its not ideal but its not worth risking my safety to get to his office which is 40 min away up a mountain. hope u can make it on thursday. i know it sucks to miss a session

Hopefully the roads will be clear enough by Thursday even though no sun or above freezing temperatures until this weekend. My T. works another job and I'm sure they are having a hard time getting to patients today which is probably stressing her out.
I'm disappointed, sad but thank God I do have a session Thursday. I think H will be ok if I go alone and I already texted her back that I would see her then with or without H.
He and I had some issues this week in parenting so I have a feeling he'll want to go. Hopefully I can reschedule our Jt one and keep with my weekly ones.
Sucks that I don't have her to look forward to and am trapped at home bored with kids. :/

Thank you everyone for all the sweet words and support. It's nice to know I can come here, vent and get support from people who understand. Now hoping roads will be clear by Thursday! They've declared a state of emergency and more snow expected Wednesday morning. We've had over 12"!
