I had a really good counsellor for over a year and a half but she's gotten pregnant and the changes due to that mean I have to see a new counsellor. I'm nervous about doing this all over again with someone new, and sad that I'm leaving someone I was working really well with.

Any suggestions?

No suggestions, but good luck, I hope it goes well with your new counsellor.

I'm sorry your t's pregnancy is throwing things off so much for you. is this change to be permanent? Or just while she is on maternity leave?
It can be difficult to switch therapists, especially if trust and a good working relationship have built up. Maybe you can talk about it with both your current t And the new one you will have?

Treat it as a challenge, something new. Someone new to get to know. Go with an open mind, and good luck!

The change is permanent as she won't be coming back to the location I go to once she returns from maternity leave.
