For the first time in seeing my t for over two years I cried in session. Just a little, but I shed enough tears to call it a cry (I think).
I'm feeling a bit ashamed, embarrassed and vulnerable now, but I think it says something about being ready to get to deeper work. I'm not sure why I could cry a little today when I haven't been able to in the past, and I certainly didn't go in today thinking I would cry. It just happened. Feels like a milestone to me. |

Now that you cried once, I wonder if you will be able to cry more in therapy. There's no reason to feel ashamed, embarrassed, or vulnerable but if I ever cry in therapy, I'd probably feel the same way! |

That's awesome! I'm a bit jealous as I have not cried with mine. I also am able to cry once I leave or even right before but not in the actual session.

Cue the lobster scene in Annie Hall where Diane Keaton says she cried in t and Woody Allen says "you cried your first time? Ive been going 8 years and ive never once cried".
