My T and I had an ongoing discussion about bikinis this Spring, which culminated in me coming to session in a bikini (with normal clothes in my bag to change into!) If it weren't for T, I never would have worn my bikini on the beach during my trip to the Bahamas. While I tried to convince T that she could still pull off a bikini at her age, she was like "OMG, no, definitely a one piece! T and I also have an ongoing dialog about how she wears boring colors like blacks and earth tones, while I wear bright colors like pink. So, I figure this picture perfectly sums up our relationship! In fact, the women in the picture kind of look like us; they're the right age, the right hair color, the right outfits, etc.

This is the first thought that popped into my head...

we play cards a lot while we talk. we play rummy. i taught him how to play it. at first he said i was making up the rules, lol. but now he is pretty good at it.

I laughed out loud when I read your reply. I'm going to think about that now.

Well, I posted a few weeks ago that T reminds me of Rupert Giles in some ways, so....

...usually the relationship is like this

...but sometimes it feels more like this

...sometimes I say something he really doesn't agree with and it's a bit like this

...T's approach to things is (sometimes) similar to this
...and I can definitely picture him in this dialogue (sorry)

...when I txt him between sessions (which happens very rarely) I tend to imagine that he reacts like this (but that might be all in my head)

...at times, it feels a little like this (in a figurative sense)

This reminded me of something. My therapy sessions with my T are pretty much like the ones in the show Black Box, which is a TV drama that was cancelled after 1 season on ABC (SO PISSED IT CANCELLED!!!).

Anyways, the therapist is like my therapist and I am like Dr. Black. She is in her late 30s in the show and the therapist is probably in her 60s. So the age difference is on spot (except I'm 18 and my T is about 45). So I could see us still seeing each other up until how old the characters are in the show. Or beyond hopefully!

And I act like Dr. Catherine Black (the shows protagonist who has bipolar disorder) but she hides it from everyone at her work and life. But her therapist in the show knows since she has seen her since Catherine's first break... Catherine cycles into mania and depression and misuses drugs. Her mother also had bipolar disorder and committed suicide. She also had a bad childhood. She is a Genius neurologist. She has unstable relationships. The therapist and Dr. Black have maternal transference and it's just so perfect and so close to my transference with my T!!! I don't know if I have Bipolar disorder, but I relate to a lot of the things she goes through. I go from high to low a lot and I am emotionally unstable... Hospital trips too. Never had full on mania but probably hypomania. The idea has been speculated though.

Anyways, I would post a video on here of some moments where it is so relatable to me, but idk how to post video! (Or Vine... Someone teach me?) but here are some photos and a link to a description of the the show. So pissed it got cancelled . Why am I surprised though? That always happens to me!

When we discuss my kids crazy schedule and how I am dealing with the stress (I have 3 very active teens compared to her 1 20 something). She talks about getting images of my life being like a mail sorter. I am spinning in circles keeping everything on schedule and making sure everybody is where they need to me.

Ellen Pompeo looks very similar to my T. Not exactly the same but it is as close as I can get to without posting a real photo of her... Even though I can I find them easily ️

They have the same hair, skinniness, tone of voice, looks, body movement, femininity... Expect My T's eyes are dark and pure blue and her hair is more of a dirty blonde. Ellen's hair actually seems to have brown in it and she has a green/blue combo. My T as has big eyes.. And the height. I thought Ellen was only 5'5" but she actually is 5'7"? My T said she was 5'5". But she wears heels... My T said she was over 105 lbs. but I know she CANT be more than 110. She is just too thin to be more than that. So really close! I crush hard on Meredith ️️️ My T's voice also is very similar to the voice of Dana Delany, but they don't look alike.
