In almost two years, I only had ONE dream about my T. I did dream a lot, about my past, my parents, my siblings, i.e. the things I talked about in therapy. I find that very strange, since my T was and is very important to me. Do you dream (a lot) about your T?

I have had several dreams about my first therapist, including one very recently, but I've never had a dream about current T in spite of seeing him for 7 months.
I think in dreams people and things often represent something else, so perhaps when you dream about therapy or your T it manifests itself in other ways. For example I once had a dream about my old math teacher, which I'm pretty sure was actually representing my T.
Thanks for this!

I've seen my T just over a year, and I only had one dream about her (that I remember), which was just a couple of days ago. I posted about it because it was just so darn funny to me. She showed up at my house in the middle of the night and was drunk. She went to leave, and got in the back seat driver's side rather than the front. She giggled, got up, fell over, then got in the driver's seat. I woke up after that, so I don't recall her driving away. I rarely remember my dreams, but this one was so vivid. It was also the night before my last session prior to her vacation. I didn't talk to her about it, too embarrassed. But I did post about it here, looking for guesses on any symbolism involved in this dream, and got some great feedback.

I have dreamed about therapy - but not the specific therapist. Usually in dreams the therapist is always in a shadow or we just keep missing each other or something so their face is not clear. It is always a woman. I have never had a dream where the therapist was a man. I did have one dream where the it was clearly the second one I see who was in the dream.

I've been seeing my therapist for almost six years but I've never had a dream about him. I've been seeing my group therapist for 3 years, I have had two dreams about him that I can remember.

I've been seeing my therapist for five years and I dream about him a lot. Then again, I generally dream a lot. My dreams are usually very vivid and interesting and I tend to remember them most of the time.

I think I have had maybe 6 dreams about my t since we started therapy. Very few, compared to the large volume of dreams I have written down in a box full of notebooks over the past 3.5+ years. Just since May 30, I have written down 12 dreams. 1 of them was about t.

Speaking of dreams about t, has anybody ever had a wide-awake dream come to them about their t? One time a long time ago when I still saw her in person, we were talking and I suddenly had this image of her with sand walls rising up around her. Freaky, man. I told her what I had seen in my mind and she said that she had just the night before dreamed about sandcastles. She said it was not unusual when 2 people are working so closely together like we did to tap into the other's psyche. That just felt so cool to me that I will never forget it.

During the 17 months I saw ex-T, I had one dream about her. Since she abandoned me, I dream about her at least once a week.

I haven't had any dreams about new T.

Wow, that's an amazing experience. I've never had that, I think it would freak me out, lol.

I've had it the other way around. When I was frustrated with my T or mad at him, I would dream about my family, mostly my father. The frustration with T didn't seem to have anything to do with my past, but apparently it did. I guess there was more transference going on then I was aware of?

I don't think I dream much about my T. But lately I don't dream much or I can't remember the dream.
Coincidentally, last night I did dream about my T, sort of. I was waiting in the waiting room and one of her collegue T's came to me. She told me she would do my session today, because T is in the hospital. I asked why. She said for her teeth. I said ''yikes''.
That's what I remember. Doesn't seem right to me. If my T for any reason can't make it, she would call to cancel and make a new appt.
Thanks for this!

I can remember the details of four dreams I've had about her right offhand, and think I've had about six total that I recall. (Remember a lot of our dream content remains in the subconscious, so you could be dreaming about T and not remember everything upon waking.) I've seen her about 27 months.

She's told me about one dream she's had about me, not sure if she's had any others.

One time I had a dream about Clint Eastwood but I am certain that it was actually my t. My blonde, thirty-something t masquerading as Clint Eastwood. The scene of the dream was more like an Eastwood western than therapy too. Funny how our mind works b

I had a dream about my T the other night. A friend of mine needed a therapist and I suggested mine so I went in with her and there was this lawn chair that I was trying to adjust. It was so cool to be in session with my T and not be the one talking.
