Ugh. So apparently I have "normal people" problems, now? And that's supposed to be a good thing? I know that's what T wanted to happen; because, apparently going for days with no more stimulation than light bulb and enjoying it is "not normal." I liked not having "normal people" problems. Don't get me wrong I'd prefer to have no problems, but I think I'd rather have other problems or no problems. Life was so much simpler.

I went to therapy to pretend to be normal. Well, actually no I didn't. I went there for other reasons, and this is what it turned into. Now, all of a sudden someone wants to marry me, and I'm having to make a bunch of other complicated decisions that involve other people. T doesn't want to spend time on this stuff; because it's "normal." This therapy thing was a mistake.

I'm sorry your T seems to think that current issues aren't worthy of talking about. That's a bit incomprehensible to me. My Ts have been happy to talk with me about any topic I bring up, including books I've read.
Thanks for this!

It sounds more like this particular therapist might be the mistake, not therapy itself. Are you up for trying another, or taking a break to reassess this one?
Thanks for this!

Good luck..I guess I don't really understand what you mean exactly, but I hope you can sort through your problems normal or otherwise.
