Do you record your sessions with your T? Has it helped you?

I started recording my sessions with my T at the end of May and I now have 4 sessions recorded and I am recording every session I have. It has helped me more than I can ever put into words. I have an awful memory so to have everything documented is awesome. When I am listening to them I feel like I am in session. I did ask my T if it was ok to record them and she said she was happy I thought of it to help me.

No I haven't. I don't need to control therapy in that way.

I don't see it as control. I have Auditory Processing Disorder and really should record my sessions or else ask my T to talk in shorter sentences with frequent pauses.Or both. How is recording a session a form of control?

I have done so. I like evidence that I remember what was said when the therapist denies it.

I haven't but I think it would help! Except I don't have the courage to ask my t about it. I get so anxious in therapy that I don't remember half of what was said.
