Never. I don't drink a lot and 3 glasses of wine doesn't do anything for me.

Wow. A new made-up embarrassing scenario for me to worry about needlessly.

No, I typically abstain, so the opportunity hasn't arisen. I'm glad for that.

I luckily have trained myself to know that if i do write an e-mail, to NOT send it. Thankfully this has worked, and then I wake up in the morning, go "Oh $h!t," check my e-mail, and delete. UGH.

Yep. On my last birthday I went to a bar down the street from her office, knocked back about five or six glasses of rye whiskey and Coke, got completely hammered and depressed and became desperate to talk to her. What I wanted to say was "you're an angel and I love you and miss you"; what I ended up texting after my common sense reared up and broke through the haze was "think we can move our appointment up a few days?"

Okay, I did tell her she was an angel.

Nope. I am not a drinker. The last time I was even remotely buzzed was about 15 years ago

No but I kind of would like to...I don't text my T or have her cell number and she has told me that she likes to keep emails to scheduling or quick questions so I don't email much.

Oh, the things I would say to her if I was drunk...

No. But I don't drink much and I don't really have an urge to email when I do have a drink - usually I am out with friends. I think emailing anyone when drunk is a super bad plan.

I'm surprised that I am actually one of the only people to do this. Its way too far back for me to find now, but I made a post about it. I was sooo embarrassed and worried about how she would respond. I was way too drunk, and my words didn't entirely make sense. I sent her like several back to back emails (titled "drunk") and then a final one that said "DONT OPEN THE OTHER EMAILS" lol. She looked at the photo I sent (appropriate) and replied asking if I was sure I didn't want her to read the emails before she deleted them. It turned out rather well. Glad she is so tolerant.

I'm suddenly totally curious if that's the thread that inspired the disclaimer on the couch thread not to text high or drunk, lol. Even though I have no alcohol tolerance so I don't really drink, I already temporarily regret about half the emails I send her, ha, so I don't need any help.

Don't drink. Don't text. Have sent emails sober that I regretted for a while for no good reason, so I can't imagine what I would do if I drunk-contacted either of them. Probably never see them again out of embarrassment.

No-my public service announcement on couches was inspired by people who are no longer here or infrequently here.

Nope. Haven't been truly "drunk" in years and, if I ever wanted to, I don't think I could ever drink enough to bring myself to do it.

I tried to drunk e-mail my marriage counselor once. But I mistyped the address, and thankfully, it bounced back. I've otherwise managed to not drunk e-mail him or my T. I have talked on the phone to each of them while a bit buzzed, since they happened to return a call when I was out and had consumed a drink or two.

Unfortunately yes, but it was intended for someone else. I typed the first letter and his email autofilled and before I knew it I hit send. I emailed him at work apologizing profusely and he let me know my apology was cute and not to give the accidental one a second though.

Not as such, no - I like many forms of alcohol but I don't like being intoxicated so I tend to stop drinking before I start acting irresponsibly. I have texted T in a state of slight intoxication but not said anything I regretted in retrospect. (I've regretted texting him, but not for that reason - he almost never responds, which makes me wish I never sent the message, but that's the same when I'm completely sober.) I don't have his email address.
Thanks for this!

No, but I emailed my favorite student advisor once when high on painkillers (prescribed ) and caffeine. Trust me. Not a good idea.
