I'm afraid she'll 'make' me do something such as seek distractions, or cycle or something. And I'm too tired to do anything but wallow in my own misery.

If you really need the help you should call your T. Using your coping strategies might help you to feel better.
Thanks for this!

Well, she can't make you do anything like that (yes, I realize you know that), but perhaps you need a bit of a kick in the rear to get you up and moving. I get that because I always really knew what my T would tell me before I called, but sometimes I just needed to make that call for that extra push. Hope you feel better.

I get that, part of it is the not feeling like you deserve to feel better

Thanks for your replies.

Well, I emailed my T to tell her this. So we'll probably talk about it next session (that's Tuesday). I hope it'll lead to something I/we can work with.
Thanks for this!

Sounds like you are really tired of trying. I get that way to sometimes. Last t's have told me is ok to take a break sometimes and just stay in bed or isolate or whatever, but that it could only be a few hours, not days... maybe you could give yourself permission to "wollow" for a bit? It might help get some energy back. And then you see t on Tuesday, so she can help some more also.

Current t likened coping skills to quick bandaid fixes, but says that sometimes you realize that the bandaid is just not enough. Don't stop using the bandaid, but look for more help also... glad you were able to tell your t you are struggling right now. Hope she is able to help.
Thanks for this!
