If you allow some time to pass, whether you stay in therapy or take a break, and the feeling isn't temporary, it can be helpful to then bring it to therapy. It's important to get what we need out of therapy, and if we're not, we need to look at that. Either you both gain some insight and begin to make progress again, or you find out there are some unworkable barriers and try another therapist. Of course, therapy isn't always a huge boost or revelation, sometimes it feels like "Bleh" but that's why it helps to let time pass and test the feeling, and maybe stop to talk about how it's going. IMHO, all therapists should do little check-ups and ask, "how do you think we're doing?" from time to time.

I was also having abandonment fears. What if I don't know why I feel stuck?

The first thing my ts would say in such a situation is, "you must be angry at me for some reason." I was never aware of it before they said that, but their saying that would sure tick me off.

That's all material for therapy, perfect stuff to discuss at your next session. When I felt similarly, I would go to therapy and discuss it, was very productive.

To become unstuck, you've got to experience being stuck.
