I'm having tactical halusinations but tueday I was a danger to myself. Luckily my husband bear hugged me while I cried and waited for the prn to work. What I believed would have killed me and I don't want to die hence the crying. I felt I "had" to do it. Luckily he was there. Can my therapist hospitalize me for that? I can't promise those thoughts won't be back and I haven't learned how to handle them.

If your delusions and/or hallucinations cause you to harm yourself or others, legally, your therapist has to try and hospitalize you.
Unless some form of safety plan is instituted in a way the therapist feels is realistic. Sounds like your husband is a good guy. I'm sorry this is happening. I'm assuming you are taking your medications as prescribed......

You can't be hospitalized just for delusions or hallucinations. But you can be hospitalized for being a danger to yourself.
