and not the kudos forum where I could post and ask for hugs....... but someone on another site that I liked very much passed away very suddenly several days ago. I can hardly get my head around it and I can't grieve because I have company who thinks it is ridiculous to grieve for someone I've never met, only know online.

He was very vibrant, was battling medical concerns but in no immediate crisis. He simply laid down to nap and didn't wake up. An aortic aneurysm is what they are saying. His partner found him. He was buried today.

It is killing me holding it in.

I almost cancelled my therapy session for this week since I was having company and I'm so glad that I didn't. I may just sit there and cry the whole session.

Thanks for listening.

Echoes....

I bet I know who this might be...and please correct me if I am wrong.

I am sorry that this has happened and so suddenly. I know that this person was well loved on the internet and well loved in life. That is so much of a blessing. I feel that this couple were so good for each other and that they had a full life to the extent that they were able. I think that sometimes when we are ill and progressing that sometimes it is a blessing to die in one's sleep. I am sorry for your grief. I know that you clicked with this person and I am sorry for your loss. Please know that although this was a shortened life, this person died in their sleep when they were progressing in an illness. I hope that this post does not offend you. It does not negate your grief but I hope it might offer some perspective.

I am glad that you will be able to talk to your T this week. Take care of you. And yes, our internet friends are close to our hearts and the loss is real.

My sister and her husband met on-line and ended up getting married. You can bet that I was suspicious of him especially since my sister had a one or two loser boyfriends before him. Conclusion: How we communicate does not make an internet relationship any less real than a real life one.
I am sorry for you loss. If you want to cry throughout your appointment with T, then do it. It is okey to grieve when you lose someone.

Dear Echoes,

I'm so sorry to hear of this. I once had an on-line friend pass away, too, and it was very sad news indeed. The friends we make online can be really good friends, just as the ones we know in person. I'm so sorry for your loss...please take good care of yourself at this sad time.

Thinking of you,
ErinBear
