Hi jman, I think it takes time to build trust with people. You can't know what's going to happen but sometimes it's good to give things a chance. Better than doing nothing, right? Good luck, I hope it works out for you.

Sometimes it takes awhile to trust someone. With my ex-T, I trusted her very quickly. However, with current T, it took me somewhere around 6 months.

Remember that you should be in control in therapy and you're not required to discuss anything that you don't want to discuss. The therapist may ask why you don't want to discuss it then.
![]() I'm not sure when you mean when you say that you "cant just switch my t out". If you really don't like the new therapist, you should have the option of changing to a different one. Good luck. |

I have a hard time with going into situations when I don't know what to expect. I was very pretty nervous about starting therapy, but I found out I actually really enjoy it. And it's okay if it takes time to develop trust. Good luck

That alone would make me anxious about the relationship. Hoping you will find your t compatible.
