I haven't been in therapy for a while and am feeling reluctant to enter into face-to-face therapy again because of some health issues that came up the last time. I've looked for online therapists of quality and actually paid for a "session" with one who sent me an email back saying "yeah, you're under a lot of stress, you need to get some support" (uh, yeah... and that's why I contacted you!). Or, can you point me to supportive chat rooms that are a lot more active than the one here? Thanks for any help.

I don't really know of any resources like that. Welcome to PC. I hope you find some more supports in your real life and internet life.

what were the health issues that came up?
the following site is pretty good and it offers the names of some different e-therapists and their different areas of interest: http://www.metanoia.org/imhs/ the chat room here is pretty active. i very rarely see it empty. the boards can be pretty supportive. typically... the more one posts to support others... the more others post to support us... |

I hope you'll decide to give therapy another chance. It would be much more supportive and personal.

I've done online therapy twice through therapists I found on Metanoia, the link Alexandra gave. It fit my needs at the time.
