I just done something I never do, and now realised why I never do LOL! As I was about to open the door to leave T just now, T works from home and has been having major building works done since just before xmas, I said, "I've just had a thought after having all this work done, your going to move?" T replied "no, but we;ll talk about that"

As soon as I got the to the street side of her front door, I knew this was gonna hit me. What did she mean by "we'll talk about that?" I mean she said no she isn't moving, so what else is there to talk about? or did she just mean a general "we'll talk about that" like anything that is brought up in therapy when there isn't time to explore???

The thing is this is gonna go round and round and round in my head until next session on friday. I'm not sure if I should email her asking her to clarify it was just a general broad statement of "we'll talk about that" or whether it was a "No but I do have something I need to talk about though" :-(

WOuld any of you email for clarifycation or just sit on it? I am not keen on emailing T unless I'm really in the %#@&#!, but I guess I could end up really in the %#@&#! by friday if I dont clear this up LOL!

HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP LOL

I agree with Alex. I think she was letting you know that:

1. she is NOT moving (yippee)
and
2. you two can talk about why you thought of that. (whew)

Have a great day. I am off to T myself.

Hmmm what do You all fink???

I don't know; I think you all are going to talk about your thought processes Hmmm what do You all fink??? How do you get from putting money into the house, customizing it to make it more comfortable for herself and family to moving (especially in "this" real estate market)? Don't you think you're getting kind of desperate/grasping at straws to give her reasons/ways to leave you? LOL :-)

Hey Mouse

I so feel your pain right now. I know that my T is moving one day. He also recently fixed up his office. He says it isn't until like 2010 but I don't know...

I was thinking about it the other day and got kind of emotional. I was hoping when the therapy is all over that we could stay in touch somehow.

I want to be there for him as any friend would. He is a great person and we get along well. He has put up with me and my drama for quite awhile Hmmm what do You all fink???

Anyway, I think your T probably means that she may move and will talk about that with you when the time comes. That is probably the way to say it.

It is so hard when sessions end and don't end nice and tidy for the next one. Hmmm what do You all fink???

One one hand she said no about moving and then she left it open. Like I said, I totally understand how you feel. I'd bring that up next session with her.

Well that is another sign she is staying where she is.... So... tell her about the chair of your desires and go from there. LOL. Good luck.

Oh, I would lose it.

"We'll talk about that."

I am thinking she meant that you guys will address the issue next session. You know, she could probably related the comment with the fear abandonment. In the broad sense.

What a difficult note to end the session on.
