I have been in therapy for almost a year for PTSD (caused from childhood through 2011), General Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Major Depression, and Panic Disorder. On top of these, I have severe Fibromyalgia, diabetes, and my Rheumatologist is currently testing for everything from RA to Muscular Dystrophy.
My therapist does not accept my new insurance that this year. I don't know if I have the energy to start over with a new therapist or if I should just try to deal with it by myself. |

Can you submit the bill from your therapist for reimbursement after the fact. I've Heard some people have been able to do this with Ts not in their network of providers. If not, could you ask if she would consider a reduced fee?

Unfortunately, my plan does not allow for any payment for any treatment out of network. The psychiatrist that had been with the group is in network, but he is not there anymore. I think I will ask my PCP for his recommendations on Thursday.

I also suggest asking for a reduced fee. When my insurance changed, and my T no longer accepted it, she reduced my fee so that I could still see her.

Good question. I've had 8+ years of therapy and I now have the same problem. However I am still going to look for a therapist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
