Did it!!! Finally got answers wether I wanted to hear them or not.
Its official....BPD....not shocked as two member of family are also.
I was very nervous but pdoc ended up being awesome.
He explained sooo much, even made me laugh.

Pdoc brings his retriever to work.....COOL.
Told me I could bring my dog next time I needed him,as he's also a vet....(.I wasnt sure if he was serious) ....DIFFERENT?
Other clients bring thier dogs too.

We also talked about substance abuse, drinking, cutting EVERYTHING.He told me he doesnt believe in contracts for SH etc......Perfect
Got me on a new RX ,even stuff for anxiey.....should of done this a long time ago.Hindsights 20/20.
Thanks for reading my rant.

New here, and I love to read about good experiences. I have had so many horrible pdoc encounters! Sounds wonderful and I would love the dog. What instant comfort! Hope the good fortune continues. Thanks for sharing and letting me chime in.

dreamrunner, that's great! Sounds like a really, really good session. I like the dog! Recently there has been a client preceding me in therapy who walks out of T's office with her dog. I like that too! That is very cool your T is also a vet.

I hope your new meds will prove helpful. (What did you get for anxiety? I started taking an anti-anxiety med a few weeks ago, so I'm curious to learn more about this.)

Thanks all for your words of encouragement. Pdoc apt not what I expected

Its all still sinking in,lots to learn.Im so relieved to have some answers.
.
Sunrise ,I got clonazepam for anxiety,05 mg as needed. No repeats on that one but I imagine it must be monitored closely as it is addictive.I dont care however as it is at least something and family doc will probably repeat when necessary.

Glad your appointment went well. Laughing here, thinking of what would happen if I brought my parrots to a pdoc appointment. They would all be screaming, crapping everywhere, running after each other, chewing on pdoc's shoe...

Its like they KNOW Im scared of them.

My favorite bird is the Turkey....with stuffing and all the fixings lol
