(See my last post for long story). So, I called the counselor's office. Because one of my professors says I'll feel better and get well if I see them. They said they don't keep track on their counsellors when they are on campus and I need to talk with student office to schedule an appointment. I don't want to explain to explain a kid in the office that I forgot my appointment and am I still eligible? I'm scared the student will slot me in, and the T will yell at me for forgetting her and wasting other people's valuable time and then banish me forever. Bt I don't want my professor to be mad at me if I don't try.

Your T will be understanding and not yell at you. Make that appointment!

But, the phone number my professor gave me was wrong, I might not get the same T, it all feels like it'll not go well.

I think it is more likely it will go fine- I have seen something in the region of 10 therapists and none of them have ever yelled at me. None of them seemed in the slightest bit likely to yell at me, even when I have forgotten my appointments.

Forgetting an appointment and not going back is really par for the course for these people. They would have to be really, really bad at their jobs to yell at you and banish you. Like so bad at what they are supposed to be doing that they likely would have been fired after a week. Their major shtick is to sit around being nonjudgmental and accepting. Yelling and banishment is really antithetical to what the whole ethos of the profession is about.
