I'm looking at finding another pdoc. I'm getting no help from the psychiatry company where they work in choosing a new pdoc.
In what other profession are you required to buy before you even get a description of the merchandise or method/service? All I get is their name and degree and school - perhaps years in practice. Shouldn’t these professionals have something on file to tell you who they are, what they do, and how they practice – at least in general? As a consumer, don’t I deserve to know what I’m buying before I buy it? Shouldn’t there be a way to compare and choose without doing so blindly? Do you think it would make any difference to log a complaint against the company with the better business bureau? ![]()

I'm sure there are other listings too, perhaps through the psychiatric association? Usually a phone call is all that is needed to ask and get questions answered. (((hugs))) Will your MD write your scripts? Then you could see a psychologist for therapy. Psychiatrists generally just write scripts nowdays. I'm personally glad they are a shrinking breed. ![]()

I don't really like doctors except psychiatrists. I trust them more. I almost consider my pdoc to be my PCP. But regular doctors I'm very distrustful of - I'm paranoid and believe they mean me no good. I haven't even authorized the psychiatrist sharing information with my PCP who I rarely visit.
This group doesn't like my questionnaire. So I've asked if I can know what their interview questions were and why they were hired and what the hirer thought of them and why he chose them. (These are new pdocs to replace the old pdocs.) How can they argue with that?
