I won't see my T for a month because she's so overbooked and I'm busy from school. Problem is I"m cutting my self worse and more often and I've been dissociating a lot more.

I'd be a hypocrite if I said health and safety come before my school/job mostly because I always put school first.

It sounds like you need help.

Sometimes therapists will make exceptions... In other words, they might schedule an extra appointment for someone who really needs it. So, have you tried that? Have you tried asking her for an "emergency" appointment? I would explain the cutting thing and tell her how serious it is.

Can you see a different therapist in the meantime? It's not really ideal, but it's better than nothing

If you think you're an immediate threat to yourself, I would go to the ER.

I just called my therapist to discuss plans for coping on Mother's Day and now I feel like a terrible client because I'm not even sure if that's ok with T

You're doing the right thing by reaching out to your T.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If your T knows you need help, she will do everything in her power to help you. That's what she's there for. Don't feel guilty.

T called back today. She wasn't mad and offered help to cope with mother's day. Yay!

That's great news, firstly that you reached out and secondly that she came through for you.
