My psychiatrist cancelled on me twice. Is this common? I don't know what to do because how am I going to find another one. You pay a fortune in the first appointment

I'm sorry that has happened to you; I remember a doctor like that. It's very frustrating. Make sure you document when things like that happen; should there be a time when there's a complaint filed against this person. It can be done if enough complaints are filed.

From personal experience of my last pdoc, if this becomes a common thing, I would leave. I got extremely attached to my NP and she gave me a 3 month notice that she was quitting after almost 6 years of being with her as a patient. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Mine did this too. Then he retired on me. Depending on how far your appointment is I'd find a new one.
