Hi there,

I have been seeing a hypnotherapist who is also a MSW now for awhile instead of my regular therapist. Most times I go in and we chat for a few moments but then we go right to the hypnosis.

Tonight when I went in I started to fill him in on my sister and the fact that she just found out her husband is having an affair. Well, I got on quite the roll I guess because it ended up being and entire hour of talking about all of this.

At the end Kevin said to me that he had a couple of thoughts. The main one was that he was "very impressed" with the way that I was handling everything. He said that I am keeping a very good balance between my own feelings of my bil and my sisters feelings, while taking care of myself enough to be of help to her.

He said so many nice things that I can't quite remember them all. But he said that I have done "remarkable" things that show my growth both emotionally and spiritually.

At the end he said that now I would have to give my self-esteem a notch up and pat myself on the back for several major emotional successes. He knows that my self esteem is a big issue so he kinda smiled when he said it.

I told him I'd try - he really did make me feel good though and I was able to thank him while looking him in the eye (a major fete) and I actually did feel a bit good about myself.

Tranq

Ah, the sweet things that our Ts say to us that we can seem to get all the way. I hope you allow yourself to dwell on what Kevin said to you for a while. It helps to allow the complement to just wallow in your brain like we do when we screw up.
I am glad that you had a good session.
