I started going to a group for csa. This has truly been one of the best groups. I really didn't know how it would be , in a group of only women, as the last group for anger management was mostly men and it was really good and healing for me. anyways.. this group is really close. and I feel like I'm getting a lot of healing. Its run really well. We all get a chance to share and I feel accepted and a part of the group.

I had an amazing group therapy experience some years back. I think it worked well because it was very specific in purpose and there were two very skilled therapists working in tandem. I found it very healing; we were a very compatible group of women.
Thanks for this!

I was in one group for about 4 years. It was basically a skills group with dbt, schema therapy, and cbt all in one. It was great. It had a lot of variety. It wasn't a process group which I don't like because certain people tend to talk too much. I really liked it.
Thanks for this!

I have always wanted to try being in group therapy. There is not much opportunity in it here where I live. I have had both positive and negative experiences with group work in training to be a t. One group was very big the other very small. The large group was amazing, very supportive and I learned so much about myself and how I relate to others. The smaller group was very *****y and not supportive at all. In fact it was disempowering, their idea of support was a hug and saying "oh my poor baby, when you cried" that was not at all helpful.
Thanks for this!

I liked my skills DBT group (private not county). T was very good. The meditation at the beginning was very helpful. The members were nice. And there was no drama. I would have continued in that group, but it is too far away from me now.
