A few minutes ago, I felt pangs and urges to email my Ex-T. I didn't, of course. So I came on here to tell you all how I'm feeling.

Good work using a valuable coping skill!
I've definitely been there (and I still am occasionally) but reopening those lines of communication can only be harmful. The fact you are able to recognise that and post here instead shows you have a good sense of your own needs and a willingness to do what's right for yourself. That shows courage.
I also use the Dear T... thread for such urges, though two years down the line my desire to be in contact with T1 has dwindled significantly.

I feel relieved that I didn't email him now. If I had, I probably would have felt guilty.
