Why is it that I never need my therapist when I have my appointment, but when I'm in between appointments, I need my therapist the most? I have awful luck!

Basically, I think I'm experiencing dysphoric mania right now and I need help from my therapist. The maddening thing is: the last appointment I had, I had nothing to discuss!

Knowing me, this episode will pass by the time I get to see my therapist. (I'm cycling pretty rapidly right now, with my manias lasting only 7-8 days.) Sure, I can get advice from him after the fact, but that doesn't help me now. And the sucky thing is that I can't get an earlier appointment, as he's very popular! Bad, bad luck.

Does anyone else have bad luck when it comes to therapy?

Yes. I've had pdocs come on to me. Stalk me twice.
The. Indifferent ones. Just write script and you're dismissed.
My new guy is like 100 years old. He just asks what medicine do you want? Took him 3 try's to fill out script.

I think this is a very common feeling and has nothing to do with luck.

Yep. Many T's. One took advantage so I stopped therapy for a while. Current T is doing a great job though!
