I was wondering if there is a resource somewhere on the web or a hotline to call where u can talk with a T. People in this forum seem to be able to email their T or get to them thru a pager or what not if they are having a hard time. Here in Maine there is a peer to peer support hotline that runs a few hours a day and they'll talk to you for up to a half hour and then they'll say well I have to talk to someone else now... I just would like to have an option to talk to someone who knows what they're talking about or is really helpful like aT of some sort or what have you.... Anyone know of something like this?

Your local community mental health has a hotline. Check the phone book.

Hmm that must be Crisis and Counseling... you're only supposed to call them really if it's important like ur suicidal or something and they'll do an evaluation for if u need to be hospitalized or put in a temporary residential unit where they lock up the sharps and meds.

I don't think there's anything that is "free" where you can talk to a professional. I'd look at online counseling options or maybe something within your state; maybe dial "211 Maine" and ask?

I found this but I haven't used it:

myTherapynet.com
myTHERAPYnet.com provides an environment for licensed psychotherapists to conduct online psychotherapy and life coaching services. People are able to receive therapy in the form of real time chat, audio or video conferencing. A customer can book a 15, 25, or 50 minute session or can be connected with a therapist within 15 minutes and engage a session as long or as short as they would like.

Soidhonia also suggested this hotline number on the depression forum 1-800-273-TALK if you need somone to talk to. If that's not the Samaritans, there is always the Samaritans.
