Last month, I think my PDOCs receptionist told me that my next appt was January 8 at 9:40. Now, obviously I found out the 8th was a Sunday so she must have meant the 9th. But I have an appointment scheduled with a new T on January 9 at 10 AM. I'm confused.

Sounds like you'll have to confirm when the MD appointment is and then possibly reschedule one of the appointments.

Do you not have an appointment card with the date and time on it? I never leave without one, even if I put it in my calendar. That way if I screw up putting it in my own calendar, or somehow they screw up in putting it in their system (it happens), then I have the written date and time to show them or double-check with.

If you aren't expecting a med change, just reschedule if necessary so that you don't miss work. If their is no med change involved, you probably don't need monthly appointments anyway.

I don't need any med changes but my psychiatrist still brings me in every month.

Congrats on the new job!

Don't worry too much about the mixup- these things happen to everyone! Do you think it would be easier to change the appointment with the psychiatrist? That might be the one I would go with changing.
Thanks for this!

It probably isn't necessary, and since you are financially struggling, maybe you should talk to your pdoc about stretching out your appointments a bit -- every six weeks or so.
Thanks for this!

Maybe she meant Jan. 18th? Do you not get any reminder calls? I don't get them for my T/MC, but I usually get one a day or two days before for p-doc appointments. If it is supposed to be tomorrow, probably better to reschedule p-doc appointment than new T. Only issue would be if you needed a refill, and even then, it can be called in.
