I have been looking for a new T and searched online for reviews of T's in my area. One T stood out with twelve 5 star Google reviews, eight on Facebook of 5 stars, and an amazing resume on her website. I was ready to call and make an appointment, but last night I did some investigating on the reviews and found that:

1. One of the reviews was from her mother who in the review didn't disclose that. I figured it out by searching on the name.
2. One review from what looked like a business partner.
3. Several of the reviews were from people not even in my state. 3 reviews were from other countries (India and Romania).
4. One review on FB took me to a FB page with only one post (obviously a fake FB page).

I can't help but conclude that the reviews were largely made up, so I passed on this T. I am disappointed because I really liked what I read about her background and approach. Trust is more important.

Great detective work. I would not have thought to do that. Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry this one turned out to be shady in the review department, but it looks like you've got good radar. Here's hoping you find a good one without phony reviews.
