Yesterday I wrote a negative review on my ex T's FB business page. And today it's gone. What's the point in having a business page if you will only allow positive feedback? And how come FB allows people to remove reviews from their page? Again, what's the point? Actually now that I'm cheking again, she seems to have removed the possibility to leave reviews on her FB page. I'm not exactly surprised but it really shows how she has NEVER been able to tolerate the slightest criticism and has never apologized for anything. Meanwhile she gets to go on with her happy life while I suffer alone. There's not much point to my thread and I don't exactly expect a lof of support from here. I just needed to vent.

Well, I don't visit Facebook at all.
BUT I absolutely agree that it is really lame that your T had a business page allowing feedback and then shut that feature down when she received a negative review.
Assuming the review was worded for public forum.

Sorry you're going through this.
Thanks for this!

Administrators of FB business pages have that ability. You might have better luck leaving reviews on yelp or other medical review pages where she isn't an administrator.

Oh wow, that's really unprofessional and absolutely defeats the purpose of leaving reviews. I would ask her why she removed your review and you are entitled to leave any review you like. It really does show she cannot tolerate criticism.
Thanks for this!

I review on Yelp for this reason. Not surprised on Facebook that she deleted it.

Egotistical - you can leave a review as long as it's a good one and probably unethical as well. Sorry all this happened to you Myrto.

Hmm, that's interesting. I work in a counseling office and we have several reviews on our business facebook page, but we have one bad rating (with no explanation) from before the place even opened but we still can't delete it. I agree with the others who said to post on an independent site that she can't control.
Thanks for this!

I would post a review on yelp or another site that gets a lot of traffic but is unbiased. As a consumer I would take reviews on a Facebook page with a grain of salt. Even though they seem to encourage honesty, Facebook business pages are ultimately about advertising.

It strikes me as quite unprofessional and a bit bizarre for a T to have a FB page with client reviews. It's like she doesn't take herself seriously.
Thanks for this!

Yes, I think she didn't realize clients could leave reviews. Negative reviews I mean because of course she would have left a positive one.

I wrote a yelp review like a month ago. The thing is, when I google my ex T's name, it's her FB business page that shows up first. Not the yelp review. So I thought that by leaving a review on her FB page it would be much more visible.

Yes her attitude is pretty pathetic. I'm not going to ask her why she removed my review because 1) I know why and 2) she won't respond anyway.

I think she just wanted to maximise her online exposure. And actually when googling her name, her FB page is the first result along with her website. What do you mean by "she doesn't take herself seriously"?

I wrote a yelp review too of course. But how many people check it out? Not many I'm afraid. There are very few therapist reviews on yelp. From my country anyway. People use yelp for restaurants and bars but apparently not for MH professionals. Which is a shame.

I doubt that anyone would want to have negative reviews on their professional website. I sympathize with the frustration though because my first therapist (whose work style and ethic I had a lot of concerns about) also selects positive comments from people who don't even know him outside of the internet and puts them on his professional site. I wrote a mostly negative review on him on healthgrades.com and saw with interest that someone else also posted a very similar experience with him that I did not see anytime earlier even though I looked him up quite thoroughly.
Thanks for this!

Sorry for the late reply. I mean that a therapist Facebook page with client reviews doesn't have a ring of professionalism and respectability. It's gimmicky. It doesn't say "my confidence and competence speak for themselves" but rather "my ego is fragile and I look to my clients for approval and validation."
