Last week I met with my new therapist and it went really well. I’ve decided I’m going to make the jump and switch, but I’m super scared. I mentioned in another post last week that I’ve been seeing my therapist for little over 6 years now. She has helped me through a lot of stuff, but I feel it’s time for a change.
This is not going to come to her as a surprise. I mentioned it to her a few months ago. During that visit I couldn’t stop crying. I hate saying good bye. In my past I never said good bye. I just wouldn’t show up for my appointments. Honestly I never stuck around with anyone long enough for them to get to know me. So it was easy to just walk away. I have my appointment with her tomorrow at 5pm. It’s going to be difficult and sad. Bringing up the subject is going to be the hard and walking out knowing I’ll probably never talk to her again will be the hardest. I hate saying good bye, but it doesn’t feel right just walking away this time without saying it. I guess that’s growth on my behalf. |

I used to be great at the disappearing act, but I just can't do that today. It shows me that I've grown. It's going to be hard for sure. Good bye is never easy.

Said my good bye yesterday and wow was that emotional. I knew it was going to be hard, but I didn't think I'd be so emotional.
I'm glad I went in though and said good bye and most importantly thank you face to face. |
