Even if it turns out he/she is not the right therapist for you?

If they weren't the right therapist for me I wouldn't be too worried about their personal qualities. All therapists ought be be ethical and well trained but I only care about the personal qualities of my T.
The personal qualities I seek from him are patience, attunement and insight.

Authenticity, Intuitiveness, willingness to keep learning (not just keeping doing what he/she has been doing for years), empathy, healthy boundaries - but flexible as needs arise or situations change.
