I think my son's therapist smokes weed. Actually, I know he does, I was looking up a festival, and his picture was tagged in it, and he is smoking a big huge blunt, from the festival last summer. It is illegal in our state but he admitted to me once that he doesn't think its a bad drug. I haven't really sorted out my feelings on smoking weed in awhile. Maybe he should just be more careful. But he was really weird at our last team meeting, eyes darting all around, came late, left quickly. To each his own, but I guess I would be concerned if he were doing it before giving his professional opinion/interacting with my son's care team.

If I was satisfied with his work I wouldn't worry about what he does in his personal life.

Why don't you tell him you saw that picture when you looked up the festival and wanted some reassurance that he doesn't do that when he's working? He's a therapist and it's his responsibility to manage how he is portrayed on social media. If you are uncomfortable there's absolutely nothing wrong with discussing it.

If you found his behavior during a meeting dubious and shifty then I think you are right to be concerned. What he does in his own time is his business but if you think there is carry over into his job then that is an issue.

I would let him know that picture exists.

I think until there's some real reason to believe he's smoking while acting as a therapist, there is nothing to be concerned about.

I'm all for weed smokin' (in moderation of course). However, I find it irresponsible and juvenile for a professional therapist to have a picture of himself out on the web smoking a big old blunt in a state where it's illegal. What is he, 12? For me, it shows he lacks professionalism and maturity. Doesn't send a good message to his clients either, especially the young ones that may stumble upon it. To me, it just doesn't show good character or judgment so I think your concerns are very valid.
