T: I think it's because of what you experienced with "s" he terrorised you. To survive you tried to please him and became subservient. It's that memory that you need to connect. I think I've failed to connect it for you too because I know how painful and difficult talking about what happened to you with "s" is and that I pull away from it also. But we need to make the connections. Otherwise your fear is just free-floating and attaching to anything.

It took me aback a bit hearing T realised she too had felt how difficult it was and had been almost afraid to bring me back to those memories. She said she realises she had been pulled into it as well. The fear and pain of remembering /talking about "it"
In glad she said what she said though. And shoes she died sit and think between sessions in what's going on beneath.
