I know nothing says or does would make anything g better about him leaving private practice.
Except maybe if he said "I'm sorry, I know this hurts". Or maybe he isn't sorry. Or I'm overthinking and wondering if he decided to leave because he had to send me to hospital. Or as he says, a really good opportunity to help a lot more people. Thing is, he's so good at this. Even when the m mad at him. Mad for leaving. Mad for having his own life, career, etc. of course I'm selfish, I just want him to stay put! Or maybe this is just part of the grief process. Ugh. Won't see him for 5 weeks. Feels like forever. And yet I want to pause because it's almost the end. |

Hello, iheartjacques. Have you asked your therapist to recommend another one?

Could you ask him? Although an apology you have to ask for isn't worth very much.

The practice he works in set up an appointment for me with another psychiatrist. I didn't like him that much.
And yes, I'm not going to ask for an apology. Last time I thought he should've apologised, he said people run over time. That wasn't a real apology. I said it was rude of him to ask me to come in half an hour earlier and then keep me waiting 20 minutes! I walked out. Then he said he was very sorry and actually put his hands together like the namaste hands. I can certainly tell him that I wish he would say I'm sorry it hurts. But I don't expect him to apologise. Usually people leaving or breaking up usually say that? |
