Evening, couch! I'm craving ice cream after attempting to catch up on the thread.

And QM, count me in for cuddling up in your pocket tomorrow. I'm actually impressed that you were able to say all of that to your T, even in a dark moment.

I was really hoping that everyone would come back to school today in good spirits and ready to learn/teach. How wrong I was Couch 137: Jung's Obsession

Hugs to anyone who wants them

In my opinion it's great that you have told her, because now she can give you permission/let you know that she doesn't mind, and you won't need to feel bad about it.
And as for getting upset over Easter. I'm sure that when you tell T that you didn't mean to be angry with her personally, she will understand. After all, she's a T. I'm sure she can feel upset, but this is the kind of stuff they are trained to deal with.
I hope you get to see your T soon and feel better soon
Hugs, its OK. I value everyone's input and insight. I hope T won't be angry but yeah I feel I should have asked her. I've more than 40 sessions recorded and tbh I want to keep recording.

About Easter I'll see if I can print off the thing I read which triggered me because usually I'm very numb and feel little in sessions.

Ex T was a CBT T and she felt overwhelmed and out of her depth. I think I fear current T (trained in ACT, DBT, schema therapy) will "find me too much" too.

Last session T asked if everything was OK between us, I hesitated and lied and said everything was OK. I know he mows because as I said yes I was shaking my head. I feel a "flow" between us like in the space between our chairs it's almost a physical thing sometimes it it is calm sometimes turbulent but last couple of sessions there was nothing or very little. It sounds weird but that is how I experience it. Whenever I have tried to explain this to him it seems he doesn't quite understand and I get frustrated and shut down. How do I hold this frustration to try to help him understand. Sometimes he looks bewildered and just shrugs while try to explain these feelings.

I think I know what you mean by the "flow". I feel similar when I'm very connected to T, and sometimes she reminds me to feel the atmosphere in the room, so I think she experiences similar.

Sleep well!

Work morning for me atm. Here's hoping the afternoon meeting later doesn't drag on too long. I leave work for T in like 4 gourds.

I'm really tempted to text the crisis line right now, just so I have someone to talk to who can listen to me. Therapy consumes my mind far too much and it's getting to be more than I can handle right now...

Hugs if you want them, laxer. I'm in a very similar spot currently. I think about therapy and what I'm doing in it almost obsessively. It's overwhelming to say the least.

I hope that the text line is helpful if you decide to use it. We're here for you too, though!

Thanks.

I just want to talk to my T right now instead of drafting up this email to her...unfortunately, my next session is on Friday so I have to wait all week to talk to her.

I made the mistake in having a beer tonight which made me tired so even though I'm not depressed, I'm feeling that way right now.

Alcohol can do that for sure. At least you have an inkling as to why you feel the way that you do.

And I agree that there's something dissatisfying about writing emails, though I wish I could email or text my T during sessions. The text line may be a good alternative, then, since you would get a response pretty quickly.

Thanks for the hug, QM.

It's times like thus you need a sister, or equivalent.

I find it odd that the Juvenile Diabetes Association is selling candy bars to raise money. But I guess that no one would buy green beans if they were selling those.

And, in other news, my paper is not done. I need to follow the example set by the couchinistas. I have to write a spiritual autobiography, which is not a big deal, except that I don't know how much of my MI I want to disclose. On the one hand, I will probably only see the professor for two more days, and that will be in October. On the other hand, it is much more comfortable to leave it out. On the other hand, it might be good practice.

I really want to swim. It's 84 degrees F, the pool is heated somewhat but I don't know if it's warm enough. Maybe I'll put my suit on and go stand outside for a minute and see how the air feels.

Weird, they should sell pins or something instead.

I bet the best way they can make the most money out of these things is by selling candy, which is sad...and also true.

It doubles as a recruiting drive. "Buy this candy. If you collapse, phone this number."

Most leisure pools are kept between 80-88 degrees. I prefer them on the cold side (I find it energizing), but it sounds like art is used to the Arizona heat!
